V\u00a0ich diele pokra\u010dovali medzi\u00a0 Slovanmi juhov\u00fdchodnej\u00a0 Eur\u00f3py\u00a0 hore spom\u00ednan\u00ed\u00a0 vyhnanci , ktor\u00ed vytvorili cyriliku, ktor\u00e1 nahradila hlaholiku.<\/p>\n

\"CYRILMETOD\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Prince Rastislav wanted to get rid of the strong influence of neighboring\u00a0 Eastern Frank empire and its bishops and therefore asked for help from the emperor of the Byzantine Empire-old Eastern Roman Empire (territory of modern Greece, Turkey), Michael III., who resided in Constantinople-Istanbul today. He was granted his request and sent him two Philosophers\u00a0 Constantine \u00a0and Methodius, who came in 833 to Great Moravia in order to spread Christianity among the people in a language they can understand the old Slavonic.
