Neváhajte a navštívte gastronomický festival v Londýne v dňoch 15.-16.júna 2016 v Regent’s Park, NW1 4NR, bližšie info na <london.tastefestivals.com>. Budete mať možnosť zoznámiť sa so všakovakými jedlami významných štyridsiatich londýnskych reštaurácií a ochutnať ich miniatúrne špeciality. Uvidíte, či sa im vyrovnajú naše typické slovenské jedlá, napr. bryndzové halušky, ich recept v angličtine máte dolu, ponúknite ho svojím inonárodným priateľom a známym . Dobrú chuť!

Traditional Slovak dish : Bryndzove halusky – Bryndza dumplings
Bryndza is special cheese made from sheep’s milk. Ingredients: 2-3 large uncooked potatoes
fine whole wheat flour
salt
smoked bacon
bryndza
Instructios
- peel and finely grate the potatoes
- add flour in order to make a dough or mixture which is not too tough but also not to watery. Some people add milk to the mixture but it is not necessary to do so.
- Add salt to taste
- boil enough water in a large sacepan with 2 tbsp of salt
Then form the dumplings with a knife or teaspoon on, with cold water washed, wooden platter and thrown them into bubbling salted water. (There is now special aquipment with which you can form halusky more easily and which can be bought in shops.)
-boil the dumplings a little When the dumplings are done they will float on thesurface of the water. Pick them out with a strainer, rinse with cold water and mix with bryndza
-cut up little pieces of smoked bacon and fry them. Then put the fried bacon pieces on top of the meal
Bryndzove halusky is usually served with cup of ordinary milk.

Úspešná konferencia
Konferencia o živote a diele R.W.Seton–Watsona, ktorú usporiadali tri nevládne občianske organizácie v Londýne Federácia Slovákov Veĺkej Británie, Czech nd Slovak Society at King\s College, Czech and Slovak Society for Arts &Sciences bola veľmi úspešná. Prejavilo sa to najmä pozoruhodnými prednáškami a následnou živou a zaujímavou diskusiou. Jej organizátori ako aj všetci účastníci vytvorili príjemnú atmosféru. Velmi cenné bolo, že k jej úspešnému rokovaniu poslala pozdravný list vnúčka menovaného, ktorá źije v Dánsku. Konferencia bola prvá svojho druhu, ktorú zorganizovali Slováci a Ćesi na akademickej pôde Anglicka.
Successful Conference
The conference of the life and work R.W.Seton-Watson, organized by three non-governmental civic organizations in London, Federation of Slovaks of Great Britain, Czech nd Slovak Society at King‚ s College, Czech and Slovak Society for Arts & Sciences has been very successful. This was reflected particularly noteworthy lectures followed by a lively and interesting discussion. The organizers and all the participants created a pleasant atmosphere. Very valuable was that its successful negotiations sent a greeting letter granddaughter named, who lives in Denmark. The conference was the first of its kind organized by the Czechs and Slovaks on campus of England.
